What's a fuse?

The fuse is used in almost all cars. This fuse protects the wiring of the car against an electric current that is too high. This prevents the wiring from suddenly melting in case of a short circuit. A fuse is also described as an automotive fuse. We have different types of car fuses:

• Glass fuse
• pull-out fuse
• Fuse box

The fuse box on the 2CV is usually mounted on the bulkhead in the engine compartment. A blown fuse is not always clearly visible. In our webshop we have different colours of fuses available. You can replace a car fuse yourself, but you could also have a professional do this.
