Carburettor base gasket aramid paper

Carburettor base gasket, paper, for Solex carburettor. We mount these paper gaskets both under and on top of the spacer. A bad seal between carburettor and manifold can result in a 'popping'or 'sneezing' engine. It is advisable to assemble this gasket when detecting a bad seal, which may be due to the fact that the manifold or the carburettor is not completely flat.

We recommend that you level the carburettor base and also check the manifold. The surfaces must be clean and flat. If that is the case, just fitting a new thick gasket (A1.1133) will be enough to make the whole thing function without a vacuum leak. Only if you cannot get the surfaces of the carburettor or manifold flat, fitting a thin gasket at the bottom and top is a solution (A1.1176). Attention: Never use liquid gasket and tighten the M8 nuts evenly.
